Meet Kristy Larson: Clinical Supervisor in Greenville, NC

Kristy started in our Greenville, NC office as a Family Counselor in 2010. In March 2012, she was promoted to a Clinical Supervisor role; in this position she manages a team of 4 counselors and oversees the work that they do with their families. Kristy first applied to Youth Villages based on the recommendation of a friend and after hearing Youth Villages’ promoted through her Master’s program at East Carolina University. Once she started her work with us, she really began to value the family-focused nature of MST (Multi-Systemic Therapy) counseling. Her favorite part of her current role is working directly with families and their counselors, as well as watching the families find success through safety planning and following through with interventions suggested by their counselors.

Kristy loves working out of our Greenville office because it is quiet and quaint. Our Greenville office is one of our smaller North Carolina offices, so counselors are really able to bond with one another. When it comes to her time off from work, the wide variety of restaurants in town, ECU Pirate football, and the beach are her favorite way to spend time.

Currently, Youth Villages is offering an attractive relocation bonus of $6000 to qualified counselors willing to relocate to Greenville, NC. Our Greenville office is also one of the offices where we are launching our North Carolina Pilot Program. This allows counselors who have started the provisional/associate licensure application but are waiting on board approval, to start in a paid position with Youth Villages and be promoted to Family Counselor once they meet qualifications to carry cases. If you’re interested in becoming a part of Kristy’s team in Greenville, you can apply on our careers page here.
