Youth Villages’ commitment to employee fitness profiled

Hundreds of Youth Villages employees participate in the YV5K every April in Memphis, many traveling from other parts of the country to join in the fun and competition. The race is one of many fitness and wellness initiatives Youth Villages offers to its staff.

Our organization realizes that a healthy and happy employee performs his or her job more effectively, so every Youth Villages employee is encouraged to live a healthy life.

Check out this story in today’s edition of The Commercial Appeal in Memphis about how Youth Villages is a company that makes a big investment in fitness and health for its workers.

“People who are healthy and have balance in their lives are better employees. We want to show you (employees) that we care about you as more than an employee. We care about you as a person.” – Youth Villages CEO Pat Lawler (The Commercial Appeal, 1/24/11)
