Youth Villages-ChristieCare of Oregon is growing rapidly in the Portland area and we need Behavioral Youth Counselors now.
Behavioral Youth Counselors will work directly with youth at our residential campuses in the Portland area. These campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program designed to enable children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings.
A Bachelors degree is required (social services field preferred).

Interview tomorrow morning at 10:30. I have explored the Youth Villages-Christie Care website and more specifically the residential treatment model Re-ED which sounds essentially like a cognitive-behavioral method that relies pretty heavily upon object relations theory for therapy with value placed in the client counselor relationship. According to the site individual, group and family therapy is provided by Masters degree holders and I am interested to know about the treatment plan development process, progress notes, summaries and how often treatment teams are conducted. What are the client to counselor ratios and are these restraining facilities? I suppose I will know the answer to these and a good many more questions by tomorrow.
